Responsibilities:
Accountant for a number of company entities across a range of countries
Complete monthly, quarterly and year end closings for the assigned functional areas and legal entities in accordance with strict corporate timelines
Provide management with accurate, reliable and timely financial information
Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids and fixed assets
Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L variance analysis of a number of entities and be able to comment on variances each month
Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet variance analysis of a number of entities and be able to comment on variances each month
Prepare the monthly payroll entries
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and analyses relating to account activity and accrual requirements in line with corporate time lines (PO accruals, vacation, pension, taxes & payroll)
Review of multiple, complex or high impact balance sheet reconciliations and accounts
Preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly International Cash Flow reporting/forecasting
Ownership including preparation and review of certain bank reconciliations
Daily review of AP invoice aging report including resolution of issues
Ensure appropriate accounting and compliance for AP invoices
Works under direct supervision, on broad, diverse or complex assignments.(Oracle update testing, merger and acquisitions)
Train, provide work direction and advice to support staff
Must work effectively with remote locations requiring excellent interpersonal skills as applicable to
assignment. (Various locations across EMEA and APAC)
Ensure Sarbanes - Oxley (SOX) compliance
Drive improvements in Accounts Payable and Month End Close processes
Lead specific project assignments and ensure they are completed in line with agreed timelines

 

Experience:
The ideal candidate must have

1-3 year post qualification experience (preferably in fast paced multi-national environment)

US Gaap and local fiscal experience

Demonstrate ability to take ownership and accountability for deliverables
Fluency in English, other language skills are an advantage
Experience using Oracle ERP desired
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict month end deadlines
Ability to work on own Initiative
Strong Microsoft office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong Analytical skills
Self-motivated and ability to prioritise tasks
Process Improvement mindset with an ability to use own initiative to solve problems
Ability to standardize processes
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work both as a Team Player and on own initiative when required
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and priorities
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast moving environment

 

Qualifications:
ACCA / ACA /CIMA Qualified
Master/ Honours Bachelor’s Degree (L9 – L8) in accounting or finance.
