Job Title: EHS Advisor - Clean Room Project

 

Role:

As an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Advisor for our Clean Room Project, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, health, and environmental compliance of our clean room construction and operation. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible work environment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

 

Responsibilities:

 

Safety Compliance:

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and protocols specific to clean room operations.

Monitor and enforce safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

 

Health Management:

Establish health management programs, including respiratory protection and clean room hygiene protocols.

Provide guidance on health monitoring and medical surveillance for clean room staff.

Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.

 

Environmental Compliance:

Develop and manage environmental programs focused on clean room waste disposal, chemical management, and emissions control.

Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Monitor and report on environmental performance, implementing improvements as needed.

 

Training and Education:

Conduct EHS training sessions for clean room personnel, ensuring awareness and compliance.

Develop and update training materials to reflect industry best practices and regulations.

 

Incident Response:

Develop and implement emergency response plans specific to clean room incidents.

Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses, and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain accurate records of all incidents and near misses.

 

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain EHS documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), permits, and inspection records.

Prepare and submit regular EHS reports to project management and regulatory authorities.

 

Experience:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an EHS professional in a clean room or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of clean room protocols, semiconductor industry EHS standards, and relevant regulations (e.g., ISO 14644, SEMI S2, OSHA).
  • Familiarity with industrial hygiene practices and equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey EHS concepts and requirements to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in EHS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
