As Estimator, you will be responsible for pricing a range of building and civil engineering projects including residential, commercial, industrial and educational works.

Responsibilities

• Producing commercially sound and technically workableestimates to assist the company in winning projects
• Liaising with quantity surveying team, procurement, subcontractors and other stakeholders as necessary
• Collaboration with all project stakeholders to understand requirements and develop estimating and tendering strategies that meet project objectives.
• Using estimating software along with other relevant tools such as exceto work as effectively and efficiently as possible
• Implementation of a new estimating software system and updating of same
• Keeping up to date with current building techniques and relevant codes of practice, building regulations and legistation to make sure these are taker account of in the estimating process
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, driving innovation and excellence in estimating and commercial practices
• Analysing the cost benefits of Modern Methods of Construction compared to Traditional methods
• Completing Value engineering options on elements of Tender Bids
• Preparing successful Tender Bids and handover to the Project Team
