Senior Engineer (Apartment)
South Dublin
€75,000 – €85,000 + Transport/Allowance + Benefits
A Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to oversee technical, quality, and site engineering aspects on large-scale residential construction project in South Dublin.
This role ensures compliance with design, Building Regulations, Health & Safety, and BCAR standards while supporting efficient project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage Health & Safety and champion site compliance.
- Review design drawings, raise RFIs, and participate in design team meetings.
- Communicate approved technical submittals to trade and finishing teams.
- Monitor programmes, coordinate subcontractors, and manage testing and commissioning timelines.
- Ensure quality control, continuous inspections, and compliance with Building Regulations.
- Lead DMS (Zutec) implementation and BCAR compliance.
- Coordinate site drawings, maintain records, and manage quality assurance documentation.
- Manage specific work packages, including tender packs, scope understanding, subcontractor programmes, material orders, and trade coordination.
- Lead Temporary Works Management and liaise with third-party stakeholders (Irish Water, ESB, local authorities).
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to engineering teams.
- Chair site and construction team meetings and drive value engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in construction engineering.
- HETAC Level 8 Engineering qualification.
- Strong knowledge of building regulations, BCAR, and quality management systems.
