Project: New Build Data Centre (£300m)

Our client, a leading international contractor specializing in large-scale projects, is seeking Senior Engineers (CSA) to join their team in Newport. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a £300m state-of-the-art data centre, currently in the demolition stage and set to begin enabling works, groundworks, and foundations in the new year.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful delivery of civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) packages, including groundworks, steel structures, and reinforced concrete (RC).
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, adhering to budget, timelines, and safety standards.
• Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, liaising with design teams and subcontractors as needed.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Key Requirements

• 5-8 years’ experience in engineering roles, ideally on major projects.
• Strong background in civil, structural, and building works (including steel and RC structures).
• Previous experience working on large-scale projects such as data centres (ideal), industrial facilities, pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, or stadiums.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.

Package

• Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum
