With a rich history of successful ventures and a commitment to excellence, they are now seeking a dynamic Senior Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.

 

Your Role:

 

As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor, you will be the driving force behind their commitment to maintaining a safe and secure working environment. Your expertise will be pivotal in overseeing and guiding health and safety protocols across their Civils/Ground Works projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

 

  • Developing and implementing comprehensive health and safety policies tailored to the unique challenges of Civils/Ground Works projects.
  • Conducting thorough risk assessments and ensuring the effective implementation of appropriate control measures.
  • Advising project managers and teams on best practices to prevent accidents and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Investigating incidents, identifying root causes, and formulating action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Keeping abreast of industry regulations and standards, and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Training and mentoring junior health and safety personnel to foster a cohesive and knowledgeable team.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, specifically in Civils/Ground Works projects.
  • Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) to demonstrate your expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation pertaining to the construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing safety initiatives and improving safety performance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership qualities to inspire and guide teams towards a shared safety vision.
