Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer - North Dublin.

In this role you will: 
• Provide complete electrical / electronic design solutions to improve product performance and reliability including all verification and validation activities.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to other Engineers in the team
• Support initiatives from design through to maturation of product and process. Familiar with Product Lifecycle Management control systems for configuration control.

• Someone who can problem solve to a solution, with a structured analytical approach

• It would be advantageous to have the following experience:
o Proven experience in the design and development of high-quality electrical / electronic solutions in a regulated environment
o Knowledge of computer operating systems: hardware and software
o PCB design knowledge with a good understanding of design concepts and component selection
o Experience of analog and digital circuits from the transducer to the microcontroller input; considering cabling, connectors, signal strength, and noise/interference
o Knowledge of Firmware development (ability to modify current firmware)
o Knowledge of power electronics, cabling routing and how to integrate into a complex system
o Understanding of EMC, Low Voltage & Machinery Directives and other relevant standards
o Micro Controller knowledge (e.g. ARM Cortex)
o Software programming (C, C++)
o Control systems engineering knowledge (Tuning motors, PID control, etc.)
o Good understanding of EMC, and methods to eliminate electronic interference

Interested applicants should have:
• Bachelor’s degree (QQI level 8) in relevant technical discipline (Electronics / Software / Electrical / Mechatronic etc.)
• At least 8 years’ relevant engineering experience in a high-performing team
• High paced individual who is eager and passionate in developing and delivering solutions in close collaboration with key stakeholders
• Readily accepts ownership, accountability, and responsibility with a proven track record in delivering effective solutions from concept to implementation at pace
• Is a key coach & mentor in supporting the team
• Ability to make informed key decisions to drive the business forward
• An excellent team player who knows how to work in a team environment
