Senior Hardware Engineer - Dublin.
This position can be offered either as an office-based role, hybrid, or remote, according to candidate location and preference.
Job Description
The job involves both analogue and digital design and development.
Current designs incorporate a range of ARM processors, precision Analog Input acquisition, Digital Input acquisition, relay control modules, precision AC Acquisition and signal analysis from a wide range of Voltage and Current sensor technologies. Communications interfaces include USB, serial, Ethernet and CANbus.
The job involves cost effective electronics design, simulation, schematic capture, PCB layout, circuit prototype and verification, producing Bills of Materials and hardware manufacturing packs for subcontract manufacturing. Product quality and reliability is paramount and good development practices are essential along with thorough design verification and stress testing. The successful candidate should be capable of taking a complete project from design through to tested and verified product.
Products must be regularly tested at independent laboratories to IEC electrical and mechanical standards.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for the complete hardware development cycle from design through to documented release.
• Cost effective analogue and digital designs
• Schematic capture and PCB layout
• Comprehensive test and debug
• Design and development of production test equipment
• Hardware support for product manufacture
• Root cause analysis.
• Product Type Testing
Interested applicants should have:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering
At least 5 years' experience designing and testing digital and analogue circuitry.
Experience in switch mode power supply design
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
