Electrical Design Engineer - County Cavan.

The successful candidate will be a key player in expanding the range and increasing capabilities. This is an excellent opportunity that will require the successful candidate to work closely with many departments across the business ensuring the design and execution of customised product into bespoke solutions to meet client requirements. This involves a clear understanding of customer’s needs, listening to their requirements and providing a design for quotation and in manufacturing detail for production.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design in accordance with customer specification and the capability and strengths of the manufacturing plant.
• Creation of material specifications.
• Creation of BOMs.
• Preparation of specs, drawings and technical details for customers.
• Direction and co-ordination of prototypes manufacture.
• Liaison with R&D to improve efficiencies and maintenance competitiveness.
• Optimising design to the customer specification and sustainable performance.
• Preparation of instructions and drawings for use on the factory floor.
• Preparation, control and updating technical specifications.
• Working with production to ensure design specifications are achieved.

Interested applicants should have:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience working with design packages such as CREO etc.
• Preferably experience in a manufacturing environment/manufacturing best practice.
• Experience with internal standards and quality conformance metrics.
• Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
