Graduate Mechanical Engineer - County Cavan.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Engineering-
• To run projects as delegated by Engineering Manager and/or mentor
• To ensure that all mechanical items of plant are always fully operational
• To assist the engineering team to maintain maximum plant capabilities
• To investigate and lead activities which bring about continuous improvement
• To organise and develop the upgrading of mechanical systems.
• To perform regular checks on utilities and record data.
• To facilitate all relevant statutory inspections
• To ensure all service agreements are set up and being performed.
• To report any findings to the engineering manager
Health and Safety-
• Ensuring that all work is carried out is in accordance with Health & Safety, operational procedures, and current legislation.
Quality-
• Ensuring that all regulatory quality and hygiene procedures are abided by
Environmental-
• Ensuring that all items of mechanical equipment are operating efficiently.
• Leading projects which lead to the increased efficiency of process, or reduction in waste, effluent streams, power or water consumption
Commercial-
• Ethical approach to tendering work
• Working with contracts and agreements for works and activities performed
• Ensuring that all equipment necessary for project is made available
Personal Development-
• Complete ongoing requirements of the graduate development scheme
• Complete ongoing requirements of the Engineers Ireland Scheme with the view to becoming Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) following the successful completion of the company graduate scheme
