Purchased Material Inspector - North Dublin.

The successful applicant will report directly to the Supplier Quality & Inspection Manager and is a member of the site Quality team, collectively responsible for maintaining and improving quality & compliance in the manufacture and support of products and services. This role is responsible for a key support activity on site supporting supplier quality management services within an ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 regulatory environment.

Core Responsibilities

• To provide day to day inspection expertise in the areas of Component and Mechatronic Inspection supporting manufacturing.
• To complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and lot inspection activities
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement test, dispositioning defective products for rework, and confirming re-work
• Able to determine acceptance and rejection of materials presented for inspection.
• Document inspection results by completing quality inspection reports and logs, and correctly and carefully inputting data into the quality database.
• Alerting and assisting the Supplier Quality Engineering department with failure and non-conforming material data recording and reporting.
• Be a team member of the quality department and support Production, Engineering and other internal departments when requested to check specifications and tolerances.
• Assess Supplier capability to meet quality requirements to ensure supplier processes are an effective fit with requirements.
• To support technology transfer initiatives and new product introduction projects
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with quality regulations.

Interested applicants should have experience in:
• Inspection Methodologies such as PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-A-610), Fabricated/Machined Metal Mechanical/Visual inspection, Precision linear measurement, non-contact measurement, Moulded and Machined plastics inspection and measurement
• Geometrical Tolerancing (e.g. true position, perpendicularity, concentricity, angularity, roundness etc.)
• General Inspection to Drawing; Commercial off the shelf components, inspect against vendor's item or model number. 
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written

At least 3 years' relevant experience.
Minimum of a third level qualification (Diploma/Degree) in an appropriate discipline (Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering) OR appropriate and commensurate experience.
