Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer - South Dublin.
This is a Monday to Friday (days) role.
About the role:
Leading teams of Shift Technicians and providing engineering support within a high volume, fully automated manufacturing environment, the Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer is responsible for and involved in troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment.
Main responsibilities will include:
Lead the Shift technical team across the Assembly process, managing and prioritising daily technical performance.
Collaborate with the Operations Engineering team to own and resolve EHS, Quality and Technical issues.
Manage execution of, and compliance to, a comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance program, ensuring that documents are audit ready.
Work closely with the Senior Process Engineer to improve the preventative maintenance program to reduce breakdowns and improve efficiency by analysing breakdown and reliability trends across the process.
Work closely with the Senior Process Engineer and the Operations and Maintenance teams to identify and drive improvements to existing equipment and processes.
Manage quality CAPA and improvement projects as required.
Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives as appropriate – Kaizen, Lean, LDMS, Blitzes.
Work with direct reports to carry out risk assessments, behavioural based audits, close out near miss action items on a regular basis.
Work with immediate manager to review machine spares and ensure that necessary spares and stock levels are set up in stores.
Identify development and training needs of the Shift Technician team and coordinate with the Shift and Process Engineers to prepare and execute a comprehensive plan.
Interested applicants should have:
Degree in Engineering (ideally Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering).
Six Sigma Green or Black Belt qualification an advantage (not essential).
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with at least two years' direct people management experience.
Must be able to work and communicate in a cross-functional environment.
Experience in applying a scientific approach to problem solving, blending analytical and experimental skills to maximize productivity and yields.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous experience in the use of Six Sigma statistical techniques would be an advantage.
Knowledge of PLCs, Vision Systems, High Speed Assembly and Packaging operations would be advantageous.
