Sustainability Energy Engineer

Our client are an industry leader with almost 50 years of manufacturing history, supplying quality products to some of the construction industries largest organisations. They are a significant energy user and has implemented an Energy Management system (EnMS) to improve energy performance and lower its carbon impact.

They are currently recruiting for a Sustainability Energy Engineer to be based in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. 

In this role you will manage the EnMg system and recommend and support the implementation of energy performance improvements across the plant.

The core objectives of the restructure are:

• Bring in new skills which allows engineers to grow and develop including taking responsibility for upcoming installations/ projects.
• Create additional technical support for the Control Systems functions which is critical to plant operation
• Apply dedicated skills to predictive monitoring of all mechanical and electrical plant item to reduce failures
• Create an improved dedicated maintenance regime for the plant which will ultimately reduce downtime

You will ensure that the EnMS is established, implemented, maintained, and continually improved and conforms to the requirements of ISO 50001.  In addition, you will devise action plans to improve energy performance and report on the performance of the EnMS and improvement of energy performance to management.

A third level qualification in a relevant technical discipline i.e. Engineering, Environmental or Sustainability or equivalent is essential

Competent technical engineering knowledge in Mechanical, Electrical applications to implement energy saving solutions in various areas such as: Inverters / Variable speed drives (VSD’s), base load reduction, compressed air, pumps, drives, motors, hydraulics, LED Lighting, CHP (Combined Heat & Power), and heat recovery is required.

An understanding of environmental assessment methodologies would be a distinct advantage
