Assistant Production Manager - Co. Cavan.

We are seeking a candidate to join a busy Food processing firm in the Co. Cavan region. This ideally suits a person seeking to build a career in the Food Production/Processing industry and is seeking a future in People Management/Production Management.

You will be joining as an Assistant/Trainee Production Manager and shadowing the current Production Manager with a view to taking over that position when the incumbent retires as planned.

You will be joining a 10person team. The food industry is within meat processing.

We are seeking candidates who meet the below:

• Food Science or similar industry Degree graduated.
• An interest in Operations, Logistics and/or Food supply chain.
• Quality Assurance background ideally.
• An interest/previous experience in Lean Business.
• An interest in People Management is essential.
• An interest in Site Management.

Further info:

• This is a hands on role.
  You will be learning from the current Production Manager with an eventual aim to take over that position.
• You will be learning all Quality and Food Safety Elements
• You will be taught the company systems, get to know materials, products, suppliers and production costings.
• You will be learning how to make site management decisions.
