We are seeking multiple (5) Maintenance Technicians to join a busy food processing plant in Co. Cork. We are seeking skilled Electrical & Mechanical backgrounds for this position. The role suits people with a stronger Electrical background.
This is a shift position on a 4cycle shift (two 12hr days, two 12hr nights followed by 4 days off).
You will remain in a Shift team and work on new and older machinery in tandem. This role is to join an expanding maintenance team due to significant business growth and is an opportunity to join a company where career progression is a real possibility within the company.
The role:
This role is open due to expansion within the company and we are therefore seeking additional Maintenance Technicians to join the company. Working on new and older equipment within a structured team & department. We are looking for people experienced in mechanical, electrical sectors with an eye for proactive maintenance as well as an ability to re-actively repair as needed.

Role detail
- Electrical and Mechanical Trouble shooting
- Electro-Mechanical repairs
- Provide Technical Support.
- Support Production team in achieving targets.
- Closely monitor line and machine performance.
- Intervene online as soon as any deterioration in performance occurs.
- Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications.
- To keep clean any areas in which you are working.
- Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross skilling and other job-related competencies.
- Update our CMMS.
- Troubleshooting using PLC programs.
- Ensure KPI’s are met.
- Completion rate of Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedule.
- Minimal breakdown recovery time.
- Optimise Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
- Shift role covering 24/7 with alternating days and night time work pattern.
Requirements
What we need from you?
- Trade Qualification is essential.
- Mechanical/Electrical background essential.
- Aptitude for process awareness.
- Diagnostic and/or trouble shooting experience preferred.
- Computer skills advantageous.
- Observant and able to work on own initiative.
- Good team player.
- Multi-skilled/Cross skilled ethos.
