Job Title: IT Support Manager
Location: Colnbrook, Slough
My client is seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to lead and manage their organization's IT infrastructure and support services. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong technical knowledge and leadership skills. The IT Support Manager will be responsible for managing all in-house software and hardware, email systems, providing comprehensive IT support, transitioning server management for B2B clients, overseeing CCTV and entry points security, managing social media accounts, and working closely with their e-Commerce Manager to ensure the seamless operation of their digital initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, network, and workstations.
- Ensure the security and integrity of data, systems, and software applications.
- Oversee hardware and software procurement, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Provide hands-on technical support for end-users and address IT-related issues promptly.
- Email System Administration:
- Administer and maintain the company's email systems.
- Implement email security measures to protect against spam, malware, and phishing threats.
- Assist users with email setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Server Management Transition (B2B):
- Lead the transition of server management for B2B clients, ensuring a smooth migration process.
- Collaborate with the sales and account management teams to understand client requirements and expectations.
- CCTV and Entry Points:
- Manage and maintain the company's CCTV and entry point security systems.
- Monitor and review security footage as needed.
- Work on continuous improvements to enhance the security infrastructure.
- Social Media Management:
- Oversee the management of the company's social media accounts.
- Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance the company's online presence and engagement.
- Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaboration with e-Commerce Manager:
- Collaborate closely with the e-Commerce Manager to ensure the alignment of IT solutions with e-commerce initiatives.
- Support the development and maintenance of e-commerce platforms.
- Assist in optimizing online sales and user experience.
- IT Support Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of IT support professionals, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Ensure the team is delivering high-quality IT support services to end-users.
- Schedule and manage IT support resources effectively.
- Vendor and Budget Management:
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and products.
- Create and manage the IT department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource allocation.
- Compliance and Data Security:
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT and data security regulations.
- Implement and enforce data security measures, including data backups and disaster recovery plans.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge in IT infrastructure, server management, security systems, and social media management.
- Proven experience in team leadership and project management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
