LEAD SOFTWARE ARCHITECT - County Galway.

In this capacity you will ensure the definition of a software architecture matching the software  requirements for the software under your responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform intermediate baselining required of output deliverables under your responsibility
• Develop and maintain the Software Architecture of your area of responsibility
• Analysis of new and changed input software requirements
• Allocate software requirements to design elements of the software architecture
• Define, detail and maintain software interfaces
• Perform Software Safety Design Analysis for the Software Architecture of your area of responsibility
• Participate in reviews and acceptance of your input documents
• Participate in reviews of your output deliverables and resolve open findings
• Participate and support reviews of the Swing Test Spec and resolve open findings
• React on SIQ requests and participate in SIQ meetings

Interested applicants should have:

• Honours Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent

• Masters or PhD level qualification would be an advantage

• At least 5 years’ experience in software architecture and design

• At least 12 years' experience of embedded software development in the automotive industry or similar

• An understanding of the software development life-cycle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Knowledge of process models (e.g automotive SPICE)
