Associate Calibration Engineer - Galway.
In this role you will have responsibility for engineering oversight of the calibration and preventative maintenance (PM) department.
Ensure compliance by maintaining and enhancing the calibration and pm system tools and documentation, and own and deliver kaizen projects to improve service, cost or quality metrics. 
 
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining and improvement of the calibration/maintenance systems.
Maintain all documentation in an organised and controlled manner in compliance with GMP.
Responsible for the on-time completion of all handheld equipment calibrations (snap gauges, ruler, timers etc.).
Liaise with external vendors to ensure on-time completion of all calibrations not carried out in-house.
Organise with production in advance times to carry out calibrations to minimise downtime of production line
Replace or repair defective components as required.
Must be able to plan, organise and implement multiple concurrent tasks.
Trend and analyse performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of calibration systems.
Generate reports for out of calibration items in a timely manner and to a high standard.
Work with Validation department on new process introductions, advising on process parameters.
Ownership of the PM system, ensuring that all PM's are completed on time and completed files are appropriately filed
Ownership of the Calibration system, ensuring that all activities are completed on time and files are appropriately filed
Ownership and delivery of kaizen projects which address issues of service, cost or quality
Other Engineering and Maintenance tasks as required.
 
Education and Experience Requirements:
Degree in engineering, quality or science related discipline.
At least 3-5 years' experience working in the calibration department.
Literacy in computer Operating Systems and applications such as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills.
