Indirect Procurement Specialist – North Dublin

We are seeking a skilled Indirect Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities, optimize costs, and oversee vendor negotiations for non-material purchases. This role plays a key part in ensuring value for money while maintaining efficient contract management and compliance.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling procurement processes, managing supplier contracts, and implementing cost-saving initiatives across various indirect procurement areas, including facilities, services, freight, and capital expenditure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead RFI/RFQ/RFP processes and tenders for CAPEX projects, contract renewals, and general non-material expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain an Approved Vendor List (AVL) for non-material purchases.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve OPEX efficiency.
  • Utilize e-tendering and digital procurement tools for contract management and vendor selection.
  • Provide commercial support to procurement teams and assist in high-value vendor negotiations.
  • Lead cross-functional procurement projects and drive process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and manage vendor performance across the site.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Level 8 qualification in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and its application in procurement.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, vendor negotiations, and indirect procurement.
  • Proven experience in managing tenders and commercial contracts, including CAPEX and OPEX.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and business writing skills.
  • Ability to manage supplier escalations and influence vendor performance effectively.
