Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance on existing systems and develop maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct diagnosis, calibration, and repair of plant, equipment, facilities, and utilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Conduct routine and on-the-spot tests of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain safety standards and protocols.
  • Prepare cost analysis reports for machinery maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Provide training to junior technicians as needed.
  • Track usage of tools and parts, and reorder items as required.
  • Execute preventative and unplanned maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis for maintenance issues.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including faults, breakdowns, and recommendations.
  • Participate in project work and ensure availability of electrical and mechanical spares.

Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify issues accurately.
  • Leadership skills to guide and support team members.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with all departments.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics and blueprints.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Trade qualification as a fitter (mechanical or electrical).
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, including pneumatic, hydraulic, pumps, and automation.
  • Experience in production maintenance.
