Logistics Business Analyst - North Dublin.

Role & Function:
In this role you will develop graphs, reports and presentations of project status; create and present quality dashboards; generate routine and ad hoc reports. You will technically direct the production of performance measurement reports/scorecards and self-service BI dashboards to support and direct key business decisions across the Business Services Group. You will enrich business planning and business performance reviews with in-depth analytics, ensuring decisions and plans are evidence-based. Utilising best practices, ensure the consistent delivery of quality business information. Analyse performance of EMEA Logistics.

Core aspects of position:

• Assist in determining operational objectives by studying business data; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Uses advanced analytics skills to interpret data and develop coherent business plans to improve performance.
• Prepare presentations to gain support for business improvement proposals.
• Uses data mining and gathering techniques to combine and contract data from different sources to give new light and new approaches to viewing business performance.

• Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget.
• Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
• Assess production and supply problems to determine economically efficient solutions.
• Provide business analytical support for EMEA Logistics.
• Review and analyse weekly data for trends, issues and additional opportunities for savings such as freight cost savings.
• Review and analyse carrier performance.
• Review and analyse business performance and develop improvement plans.

Interested applicants should have:

• QQI level 8 Degree Level qualification
• Be a business professional with at least 5 years' experience in Data/Business Analysis in a Logistics/Planning environment, focussed on business performance analysis.
• It would be an advantage to have experience of building and maintaining relational databases to be used to support detailed data analysis.
• Proven experience of working with the complexity of information and ability to supply strong, coherent business recommendations as a result.
• Advanced analytical and data-centric problem solving.
• Strong organisational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build strong networks and to develop key relationships both internally and externally.
• Excellent communication skills with advanced written and presentation skills.
• Advanced level in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project.
• Intermediate knowledge of SAP systems would be beneficial
• An understanding of logical applications of data would be beneficial
